Karen (AdvenTour Founder)

When I started this business I wanted to arrange my life so that I would have time and energy to do things that really matter to me. I found a creative challenge at AdvenTour, for me it's an effort to share the treasures of my country with you. Caucasus is a land blessed by mother earth, one of the last unspoiled places at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. A land dressed in snowcapped mountains, dramatic gorges, crystal-clear lakes and stunning ancient sites. Fast becoming a “must see” for anyone interested in timeless culture and undiscovered beauty, there is no time like the present to experience this awesome place on earth.

Robert, hiking guide

I feel more alive when traveling than I do at home. It is because we get so acclimatised to our everyday surroundings that we do not actually notice the world we live in. When I travel I recapture some of my childhood enthusiasm. New people, smells, tastes, even colours. It's a whole new world!  I enjoy being close to people and culture of a region. Why do I need to do this?  Walking with our travelers in some of the lesser known spots full of trees, plants, birds and flowers energizes my body and uplifts my spirit.

Karine, cultural guide, Armenia

I have a desire to take all my guests to wonderful places and enjoy their enjoyment as they take time to experience my country. Walk the Hermits’ Trail, ascend to the fairy-tale shrine of St. Stepanos, spend time in a simple eatery housed in a cavern, sample local dishes. Every day here is packed full of surprises and incredible welcome from the people of Armenia!

Kartlos, cultural guide, Georgia

For me being a guide is a perfect chance to introduce the history, culture and traditions of my country to the people from all over the world. It is really a great thing when after visiting my country I hear people saying it was an unforgettable time. I am happy to be able to be the part of a society striving for peace and better understanding between nations.

Mkhitar, skiing and trekking guide
I have experienced a variety of sports such as rock climbing, rope jumping and mountaineering. But if I were to choose the most exciting one, I would opt for skiing. Skiing is the only sport that pays you back several times for the energy you inject into it. A few days of skiing gives me renewed energy for my everyday life.

Mesrop, local guide, Southern Armenia

I am doing local guiding for our tourists in Southern Armenia. This is a land of rugged beauty - narrow gorges and fast flowing rivers. I consider myself fortunate for doing this job. I accompany people in my land and it gives me pleasure when before leaving they speak about my country's jaw-dropping beauty.
