Home Meet our Team

AdvenTour is the pioneer of experiential travel in Armenia and the Caucasus. We create original travel experiences that provide real-life interaction with our colorful region and its people. Whether it's a classical sightseeing or a more active exploration, we get you up close and personal with places you're exploring.
So, what sets AdvenTour apart?

small groups

We believe in small group travel. That's why our cultural tours average just 12 travellers per trip and our adventure trips have no more than 10 participants. Travelling in a small group makes it feel more like travelling with friends than on an organised tour. It means that you get to experience more of the local culture too.

accommodation

Where you stay is part of your experience and something we put a lot of thought into. Whether it's a centrally-located city hotel or a homestay in a remote village, staying close to a region's people and culture is the key. Our choice of accommodation is based on character as well as facilities, great cuisine and friendliness.

freedom and flexibility

One of the great things about travelling with AdvenTour is that it's like travelling independently. You're free to do as you choose; to pursue your own interests one day and take part in planned activities or sightseeing the next. Our leaders have years of experience and understand the needs for balance between group and individual activities.

food in focus

It is a well-known fact that a holiday in Armenia is certainly no time to go on a diet. AdvenTour trips have some meals included, while at other times you are free to choose when, where and with whom you would like to eat.

value

AdvenTour trips are designed to be different but one thing they have in common is great value for money. We really know the best of what there is to see and do in our region and you won't waste any of your precious time getting from one tourist "must-see" to the other.

experienced team

Our team is our greatest asset and we are sure you will agree when you meet them. Whether it's the team at the office or our local guides, we are proud to say that they are all top in their field. In each of the countries you travel with us, you will travel with a local guide whose enthusiasm, versatility and knowledge are second to none - because they're taking you round their home country!

So, why do we do all this? Simply we love our region and we love sharing these great places and experiences with you, the Guest.

MEET OUR TEAM

Karen (President of AdvenTour)
When I started this business I wanted to arrange my life so that I would have time and energy to do things that really matter to me. I found a creative challenge at AdvenTour, for me it's an effort to share the treasures of my country with you. Caucasus is a land blessed by mother earth, one of the last unspoiled places at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. A land dressed in snowcapped mountains, dramatic gorges, crystal-clear lakes and stunning ancient sites. Fast becoming a "must see" for anyone interested in timeless culture and undiscovered beauty, there is no time like the present to experience this awesome place on earth.

Robert, Hiking Guide Armenia

Robert, hiking guide

I feel more alive when traveling than I do at home. It is because we get so acclimatised to our everyday surroundings that we do not actually notice the world we live in. When I travel I recapture some of my childhood enthusiasm. New people, smells, tastes, even colours. It's a whole new world! I enjoy being close to people and culture of a region. Why do I need to do this? Walking with our travelers in some of the lesser known spots full of trees, plants, birds and flowers energizes my body and uplifts my spirit.

Vrezh, guide, Armenia

I have a desire to take all my guests to wonderful places and enjoy their enjoyment as they take time to experience my country. Walk the Hermits' Trail, ascend to the fairy-tale shrine of St. Stepanos, spend time in a simple eatery housed in a cavern, sample local dishes. Every day here is packed full of surprises and incredible welcome from the people of Armenia!

Vano, tour leader / driver, Georgia

For me being a guide is a perfect chance to introduce the history, culture and traditions of my country to the people from all over the world. It is really a great thing when after visiting Georgia I hear people saying it was an unforgettable time. I am happy to be able to be the part of a society striving for peace and better understanding between nations.

Alla, skiing and trekking guide, Armenia

I have done rock climbing, rope jumping and mountaineering. But if I were to choose the most exciting sports, I would opt for skiing. Skiing is the only sport that pays you back several times for the energy you inject into it. A few days of skiing gives me renewed energy for my everyday life.

Ia, tour leader, Tusheti, Georgia

I am doing local guiding for our tourists in Tusheti. This is a land of rugged beauty - narrow gorges and fast flowing rivers. I consider myself fortunate for doing this job. I accompany people during trekking and horse riding in my land and it gives me pleasure when before leaving they speak about Tusheti's jaw-dropping beauty.
