Our team is one of our greatest assets and sure you will agree when you meet them. Whether these are people who work at our office or local guides that are selected and trained by us, we are proud to say that they are all top in their field. They go through detailed selection focusing on their knowledge, experience and personality before they are trained to share our philosophy and meet our requirements. Their work is driven by a genuine human interest to each and every guest - a sense of graciousness and hospitality that is so rare in our era of mass tourism. Our team knows the importance of first-rate service and have a network of local connections helping them arrange activities that are absolute highlights of the tour as reported by many guests.

When I started this business I had it in mind to arrange my life so that I would have time and energy to do things that really matter to me. We are all born with a deep core of creativity and I found a creative challenge at AdvenTour. Travel business is fascinating, I feel privileged to be part of it. But above all, I would call AdvenTour a sincere effort to share the treasures of my country with you. Armenia is a land blessed by mother earth, one of the last unspoiled places at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. A land so extravagantly dressed in snowcapped mountains, dramatic gorges, crystal-clear lakes and stunning ancient sites – testament to its turbulent past. Moreover, Armenia is a nation whose dignity and pride for wonderful heritage and enthusiasm to build a bright future makes traveling here an incredibly rewarding experience. Fast becoming a “must see” for anyone interested in timeless culture and undiscovered beauty, there is no time like the present to experience this awesome country, Armenia.

I feel more alive when traveling than I do at home. It is because we get so acclimatised to our everyday surroundings that we do not actually notice the world we live in. When I travel I recapture some of my childhood enthusiasm. New people, smells, tastes, even colours. It's a whole new world! I enjoy being close to people and culture of a region. Why do I need to do this? Walking with our travelers in some of the lesser known spots full of trees, plants, birds and flowers energizes my body and uplifts my spirit.

I began to work as a guide because travel creates joy in my life. I visited places where nature's beauty has been allowed to flourish, rambled mysterious caverns or joined the locals for a chat and a cup of delicious herbal tea. I noticed our travelers experiencing the same joy and amazing inner peace that only travel to such places can instill. Traveling to remote sites, meeting people and living their culture for a time are so refreshing!

Societies for the most part have lost contact with the restorative healing and inspirational power of the great outdoors. I have a desire to take all the people I can to these wonderful places and enjoy their enjoyment as they take time to truly experience my country rather than just putting a photo in their album. Walk the Hermits’ Trail and ascend to the fairy-tale shrine of St. Stepanos, spend time in a simple eatery housed in a cavern, sample the local hospitality and in keeping with tradition, local mulberry vodka. Every day here is packed full of surprises and incredible welcome from the people of free and independent Armenia!

I consider myself fortunate for doing this job. The most important characteristic for an alpinist is short memory - you forget the difficulties and try again. Watching the sun rise from the summits of Mount Aragats, exploring the amazing rock paintings at the height of 3,800m or resting at a campfire I get in touch with who I really am. I can't imagine a more exciting life.

If you have not experienced the tremendous joys that can come from participating in tours thru Armenia, I urge you to think about how these tours can enhance your whole life. I am doing local guiding for AdvenTour travelers several years and every time I discover new exciting places and experiences. Armenia has fresh air, sparkling lakes, elegant churches and incredible carved rocks from a bygone age. I have heard others speak about Armenia’s jaw-dropping beauty. But after seeing the whole country for myself, I can honestly say that prior descriptions did not do it justice. It's spectacular!
